To have a dream and make it come true. That’s the incredible feeling I’ve got during the last 9 days, when I landed with Fernando and Porthos to the JFK in a foogy but still (to me) beautiful day that I won’t ever forget.
5 years ago Fernando and I decided, while walking the Camino De Santiago in Spain (an awesome experience I totally recommend you) that we would try to live and work in the United States. But what we wouldn’t ever have imagined is that the opportunity was hidden in our dream city.
July the 13th was the day to finally take that plane (after more than a pandemic year without flight) and begin our American adventure. And I’ve seen so much enthusiasm and willing to see NYC (I’ve never received sooo many messages asking for pics and videos of the city!) that I reached the conclusión that my journey here may be of interest. So thank you so much for being here, I love having you around!
I promise authenticity and commitement: every Friday morning, at 9 EST you will have a new weekly post if you’re interested in follow around my life here. And I will try to be as useful as possible to you and share my favorite -and less touristic- spots.
We’re still hanging around as a couple of tourists, provisionally accommodated in a hotel and on vacations until next week. So these are days to do those things I was clear I wanted to do when I first put feets in New York: Buy some (crazy expensive, I’m afraid) sandwiches for having lunch in Central Park with Porthos; take a walk through Madison Park enjoying the Flat Iron views; cross the east River throught the Manhattan Bridge to have the best walking sights of the city; take a Ferry to come back to the hotel from the Downtown; take a walk at night at the midtown under the pretty Chrysler building light or have a hamburguer (with fries, always) at the Upper East Side, in the iconic JG Melon.
It’s been a wonderful welcome from the dream city, and this is just the beginning. I’m super excited with my new life here and willing to share it with you.
Thanks so much for being here. The next week, more ♥
